          Red Wings coach Scotty Bowman has signed a one-year
     deal with 989 Sports to provide consulting for its "NHL
     FaceOff 2000."  Bowman: "We're trying to get it more
     sophisticated and get more realistic situations into the
     game" (THE DAILY).....Pabst Beer is seeking presence at
     Lambeau Field, although Packers' concessionaire Promotion
     Management "has not yet recommended the beer lineup" for the
     upcoming season.  Old Style, Miller and A-B were served last
     season at Lambeau.  Pabst was last sold at the stadium "more
     than 15 years ago."  Packers Dir of Marketing Jeff Cieply
     said that the team is planning a "reshuffle" of brands with
     a decision coming "within 30 days" (JOURNAL SENTINEL,
     6/21)....The Univ. of MN hockey team is switching from
     Champion apparel, which it has used for the past three
     seasons, to Nike (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 6/22). 
     ..Organizers of the Champions Conference, a golf trade show
     scheduled for November 2-6 at the World Golf Village in FL,
     have "recently canceled the show because they didn't have
     enough manufacturers to attend the event" (GOLFWEEK, 6/21).
