THE SIXERS ANSWER TO TICKET PRICES JUST GOT 10% HIGHER

The 76ers announced that all ticket prices will be
raised 10% for next season, but the team will still rank
18th in the NBA in average ticket price, according to
Stephen Smith of the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER. In addition,
holders of 10-game ticket plans in the First Union Center's
lower-level were informed that "their seating arrangements
can no longer be allowed because of increasing attendance."
Team VP/Marketing & Communications Dave Coskey "confirmed
that some fans in the lower-level corners ... would be
moved" to accommodate season-ticket holders. Coskey:
"Because of the increased interest in the team, we're making
more seats available for our season-ticket holders. ...
Consequently, we had to make those seats available by moving
     the others" (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 6/18).
