          Lucent Technologies has inked a $1.9M deal to be the
     exclusive provider of data and voice networks for Safeco
     Field, the Mariners' new ballpark (Lucent)....IL-based
     Sears, Roebuck & Co. is partnering with Disney's Wide World
     of Sports Complex and the AAU in an awards program to
     recognize athletes participating in events at the complex
     (AD AGE, 6/16)....In Knoxville, John Adams reviewed the
     grand opening of the fourth NASCAR Cafe, which is located in
     the Smoky Mountains, and wrote that "new wrinkles" to the
     restaurant include an "eight-car race scene replicating the
     36-degree banking of Bristol Motor Speedway" and a "10-by-14
     foot" TV screen (KNOXVILLE NEWS-SENTINEL, 6/16)....Joe and
     Jennifer Montana's company, Nutrition Pro LLC, is "launching
     its first line of snack bars," called "The Blaster Bar,"
     this month in northern CA (K.C. STAR, 6/16).
