EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          USA Hockey named DOUG PALAZZARI as Exec Dir, succeeding
     DAVE OGREAN.  Palazzari has been overseeing USA Hockey's
     Youth and Education Programs for the past eight years, most
     recently as Senior Dir (USA Hockey)....PASCAL WATTIAUX has
     quit as the IOC's Technology Dir, but the IOC "quickly
     turned to an Olympic veteran" in hiring PHILIPPE VERVEER. 
     Verveer was co-Dir of IT for the '92 Games and was an SLOC
     consultant last fall.  In Salt Lake, Mike Gorrell writes
     that the IT "picture has been muddled since IBM severed its
     long-standing sponsorship with the IOC last fall" (SALT LAKE
     TRIBUNE, 6/14)....The Pistons confirmed that JOE DUMARS
     would be named VP/Player Personnel this week (DETROIT FREE
     PRESS, 6/12)....Mavericks Dir of Communications TONY FAY has
     resigned to form his own media relations and marketing firm
     called M-Streets Media (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 6/12).
     ...Comcast-Spectacor named SHAWN TILGER as Dir of Marketing. 
     Tilger was Marketing Manager (Comcast-Spectacor).
