EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          Host Communications and Universal Sports America, which
     are completing a merger with Bull Run Corporation, announced
     that HCI Chair JIM HOST will serve as Chair for the combined
     companies.  Along with Host's appointment, CHUCK JARVIE will
     serve as Chair of the Exec Committee, responsible for new
     business development, while DOUG JARVIE will serve as CEO. 
     MARC KIDD was named to replace T.J. NELLIGAN as President of
     the Collegiate Sports Marketing division (USA)....The
     Patriot League named CAROLYN SCHLIE FEMOVICH as Exec Dir. 
     Femovich replaces CONSTANCE HURLBUT, who resigned to become
     WNBA Dir of Basketball Ops (Patriot League). ...Pacific
     Trading Cards named DENNIS EDLUND as Dir of Marketing (SCD,
     6/10). ...Flyers Assistant GM JOHN BLACKWELL was dismissed
     yesterday after nine years with the team (Flyers).
