          DEALS & DOLLARS: NY-based intimate apparel company
     Maidenform has signed a sponsorship deal with the WNBA
     Liberty for the '99 season.  Maidenform receives signage at
     Liberty games in MSG and at the WNBA All-Star Game July 14
     (AD AGE, 6/9)....MoneyGram has signed a deal making it the
     official sponsor of Fox Sports World's (FSW) coverage of the
     '99 Cricket World Cup.  The net will continue to air a two-
     hour highlight program of the tournament through June 20
     (FSW).  More than 500,000 color TV sets were sold in India  
     -- the site of the Cricket World Cup -- in May, up 40% from
     the previous month (FINANCIAL TIMES, 6/9).
          ON THE FEET: adidas America COO Jim Stutts began his
     new post as adidas-Solomon Golf Group CEO on Tuesday and
     will now oversee both Taylor Made and adidas Golf USA.
     Stutts: "We see a lot of opportunity on the Adidas side in
     footwear and apparel.  At the same time, we believe there is
     much more opportunity for Taylor Made in European and Asian
     markets.  Adidas is a great European brand, and we think
     that Taylor Made can leverage off that" (SAN DIEGO UNION-
     TRIBUNE, 6/9)....Jami Goldman, the amputee featured in
     adidas' new "Long Live Sport" campaign, was interviewed
     today by Jane Robelot on "CBS This Morning."  Goldman wore
     adidas apparel during her interview (CBS, 6/10)....CBS
     MARKETWATCH's Darren Chervitz wrote that "few [IPO's] have
     experienced as poor a debut as" Skechers USA had on Tuesday. 
     The company "had to slash the terms of their offerings and
     still had trouble staying above their offering prices in
     early trading."  Sketchers sold 7.5 million shares at $11
     each yesterday, while the original plan was for 10.7 million
     shares to be sold at $13-15 (CBS MARKETWATCH, 6/9)....Home
     Depot signed Edelman PR Worldwide's Atlanta office to
     promote its Olympic sponsorship (BRANDWEEK, 6/8).
