MARLINS ASK TV CARRIERS NOT TO SHOW SHOTS OF EMPTY FISH TANK

The Marlins have asked SportsChannel FL and WAMI-TV "to
refrain from showing large batches" of empty seats at Pro
Player Stadium when they come back from commercial breaks,
according to Barry Jackson of the MIAMI HERALD. But the
team "insists it has not ordered" either rights-holder to
avoid crowd shots in general. Jackson noted a game last
week when SportsChannel "did not show a crowd shot" after a
game-winning hit in a 14-inning game. Jackson: "When the
game ended at 12:30 a.m., there were just a couple hundred
fans inside Pro Player Stadium" (MIAMI HERALD, 5/28).
