ADIDAS INKS FIVE-YEAR DEAL TO OUTFIT SERGIO GARCIA BAND

          Nineteen-year-old Spanish golfer Sergio Garcia has
     signed a five-year endorsement deal with adidas-Salomon AG
     to wear the company's golf footwear and apparel, according
     to Michael Buteau of BLOOMBERG NEWS.  While Garcia's agent,
     Jose Marquina, wouldn't disclose financial details, Buteau
     writes that the deal is "likely less than the more than"
     $26M Nike pays Tiger Woods to endorse its products.  Garcia
     joins Ernie Els in adidas' golf group (BLOOMBERG, 5/26).
