FACILITY NOTES

          In Philadelphia, Harriet Lessy reports, "Another
     possible Center City location has emerged for the itinerant
     Phillies baseball stadium."  The site, one block east of
     "what has been the leading contender" at Broad and Spring
     Garden Streets, has the "backing" of District rep Vincent
     Fumo (PHILA. DAILY NEWS, 5/20)....Cleveland stadium
     construction execs "acknowledge that they have found five
     structural defects" in the new Browns stadium, but added
     that the $283M facility is "safe and will open on time." 
     Four "connection deficiencies" were uncovered, but Huber
     Hunt & Nichols Project Manager Mike Fratianni said the
     problems were "repaired" (PLAIN-DEALER, 5/19).
