NBA OWNERS IN THE NEWS: COLANGELO'S BI-PARTISAN SUPPORT

          Suns CEO & D'Backs Managing General Partner JERRY
     COLANGELO, "a registered Republican," said Friday that he
     will host a fund-raiser on June 24 at Bank One Ballpark for
     Democratic Presidential candidate BILL BRADLEY, according to
     Jeff Barker of the ARIZONA REPUBLIC.  Colangelo has already
     given financial assistance to GOP Presidential candidates
     U.S. Senator JOHN MCCAIN and former VP DAN QUAYLE. 
     Colangelo contributed $2,000 to McCain's presidential
     campaign during '99's first quarter (AZ REPUBLIC, 5/16).
          WEDDING BELLS: In Minneapolis, Sid Hartman reported
     that T'Wolves Owner GLEN TAYLOR will wed BONNIE MILLER in a
     "small ceremony" June 6 in Mankato (STAR TRIBUNE, 5/16).
          ALLEN'S NEW IMAGE? In N.Y., Laurie Flynn writes that
     Blazers/Seahawks Owner PAUL ALLEN "looks a lot more dapper
     these days as he takes his accustomed seat courtside" at
     Blazers games.  Flynn: "Gone are the rumpled sports shirts
     and the beard, replaced by clean-shaven cheeks and well-cut
