THE FABULOUS JORDAN BRAND BOYS: JETER, MOSS IN THE NEWS

Some ad execs say that Yankees SS Derek Jeter is
"approaching a point now ... where Michael Jordan was about
10 or 12 years ago in terms of selling power," according to
Peter Botte of the N.Y. DAILY NEWS, who writes that Jeter is
"very much in demand on Madison Avenue." An exec from a
"leading" ad agency said Jeter "has everything companies
look for when they want someone to represent their products
or their business. He's beautiful, so people who watch
'SportsCenter' aren't the only ones who know who he is." A
Nike exec "hinted" that an upcoming TV spot featuring Jeter
"might include a few other Yankees and a handful of Mets
facing off" in a stickball game (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 5/11).
WRONG SPORT? In St. Paul, Charley Walters writes that
it will be "interesting to see whether the NFL allows"
Vikings WR and Jordan Brand endorser Randy Moss to wear the
brand's Jump Man logo, instead of Nike's "swoosh" during the
upcoming season (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 5/11).
