RATINGS NOTES: The "NHL on Fox"'s 1.6 rating for three regional telecasts of the Conference Quarterfinals was down 11% from last year's first week of the Stanley Cup playoffs (Fox)....The "NBA on NBC" is averaging a 4.3/10, down 7% from last year's final season average of a 4.6/12 (NBC). ...ABC's coverage of Saturday's Touchstone Energy 300 was up 26% over last year's 1.9. Season-to-date, the NASCAR Winston Cup series is averaging a 6.6 on network TV, up 4.5% over last season's final average of 6.3, and a 5.2 on cable, up 1.9% over the same time last year (5.1) (NASCAR)....The Hawks are averaging a 3.2 local rating on WATL-WB, which is even with last year's average (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 4/30). For broadcast numbers, one ratings point = 994,000 homes. For cable, "Cov. Area" = % of homes tuned in to that program in that network's universe of subscribers.

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
