          ALL NIKE: The SportsBusiness Journal's Josh Gotthelf
     reports in THE DAILY that NFL rookie QBs Tim Couch and Cade
     McNown have signed endorsement deals with Nike (THE
     DAILY)....Yogi Berra's "renaissance as a pitchman" is
     examined by Patricia Winters Lauro of the N.Y. TIMES, who
     reports that Berra is scheduled to appear in a Nike baseball
     ad in May (N.Y. TIMES, 4/30)....Nike has expanded its on-
     campus athletic facilities in Beaverton to include a new
     running track named after Olympic gold medalist Michael
     Johnson.  The track is the first of other new facilities
     which will be part of Nike's Beaverton expansion (Nike).
          OTHER NOTES: Eveready Battery will finance Conti Racing
     and driver Robby McGehee, who are making their IRL-debuts in
     tomorrow's VisionAire 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway
     (INDIANAPOLIS STAR-NEWS, 4/30)....On CNBC's "The Edge," Mike
     Hegedis profiled AZ-based NASCAR licensee Action
     Performance:  "While NASCAR continues to expand, Formula One
     racing in Europe is huge. ... Action is buying up licenses
     there.  And its goracing.com Web site with a virtual mall is
     getting 60 million hits a month. ... It has Wall Street's
     attention" (CNBC, 4/29)....The Browns named CoreComm as
     their exclusive telecom sponsor.  CoreComm provides local
     service for home and business, as well as long distance,
     cellular, paging and voice mail.  The team also named
     Allsports Travel as its exclusive travel partner
     (Browns)....The Football Network will sponsor Chester
     McGlockton's NFL Celebrity Golf Tournament in Myrtle Beach,
     SC, benefiting the NC and SC Boys & Girls Clubs of America
     (TFN)....The CPBL has named DC-based Strauss Radio
     Strategies as its radio PR agency.  SRS will provide
     targeted radio publicity to promote the league (CPBL).
