ESPN MAGAZINE WINS DESIGN HONORS, RELEASES SALES NUMBERS

          The '99 National Magazine Awards honored ESPN Magazine     yesterday in N.Y. with an "Ellie" for Design (ESPN).           AUDIT STATEMENTS: ESPN Magazine released results from     its initial ABC audit for the period January through August     '98, which showed that the biweekly exceeded its rate bate     for every issue for the period.  Also released was ESPN     Magazine's first publisher's statement providing circulation     information for the first 12 issues published between July     13-December 28.  Among the results listed:
