COULD WINTER GRAVITY GAMES BE CONVINCED BY MOONLIGHT IN VT?

CO ski resort towns of Breckenridge and Telluride, Mt.
Snow and Killington in VT and Mammoth Mountain in CA have
been named finalists to host the inaugural Winter Gravity
Games. The four-day alternative sports and music festival
will air on NBC in February of 2000 (Gravity Games).
OTHER NOTES: More than 350,000 tickets have been sold
for the '99 FIFA Women's World Cup, for an average of 20,000
for every game (17 dates) (THE DAILY).....ESPN.com's Jamie
Trecker criticized the WWC for charging media members $15
for parking passes per venue, per day. Trecker, on the
cost: "The idea of charging the media for a basic need such
as admission to an event or a space to put your car is
antithetical to the very kernel of sports journalism from a
public relations point of view." More Trecker: "The idea of
limiting that in any way is beyond absurd, especially for an
event that, once again, needs publicity" (ESPN.com, 4/23).
