FROM THE BIG BLUE LINE: NEW IBM HOCKEY SPOTS LAUNCH

IBM is launching a series of new 30-second TV ads
featuring Internet guru Esther Dyson and NHL HOFers Gordie
Howe and Stan Mikita comparing the changes technology has
brought to the game of hockey with the changes the Internet
has brought to the world of business. The spots will run
during NHL Stanley Cup playoff coverage on Fox and ESPN. In
a spot titled "First Jersey," Howe and Mikita talk about the
effort it took to get their first NHL jerseys, while a
computer user says how easily he bought an authentic NHL
jersey on the Web. Ogilvy & Mather created the spots (IBM).
