SAFECO FIELD STAFF TO DON EDDIE BAUER DUDS IN TWO-YEAR DEAL

          WA-based Eddie Bauer has signed a two-year deal with
     the Mariners, making the company the official apparel
     sponsor of Safeco Field's event staff through 2000.  Eddie
     Bauer will provide apparel, some of which will feature
     Mariners green, for the event staff.  Eddie Bauer receives
     signage on the outfield wall and behind home plate, as well
     as title sponsorship of the "Quick Flix" video feature on
     the video screen during each game (Mariners).
