IMG'S CONDON DENIES THAT HE LOW-BALLED WICHARD FOR COUCH

IMG agent TOM CONDON is not "terribly happy about ...
attacks from his business rivals" that he "lowballed the
competition" and "supposedly stole" NFL QB prospect TIM
COUCH from "rival" agent STEVE WICHARD, according to Ron
Borges of the BOSTON GLOBE. ESPN The Magazine reported that
Condon lowered IMG's fee to $50,000 to handle Couch (see THE
DAILY, 3/25), and the Atlanta Constitution reported that the
fee was eliminated completely. But Condon and Couch say
that IMG's fee has "remained a standard" 3%, and Condon will
"make that point" during an upcoming ESPN interview.
Wichard has "declined" to be interviewed for the ESPN piece,
which "apparently will be at odds with what appeared" in the
     magazine's April 5 issue (BOSTON GLOBE, 4/11).
