          U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Pete Peterson "stressed the
     benefits" that Nike has brought to Vietnam and its
     workforce.  Peterson, during a visit to a Nike-contracted
     plant in Vietnam: "You have to remember that we are talking
     about young people who are coming straight from the farms,
     who are getting the opportunity to train and to learn a new
     skill" (FINANCIAL TIMES, 4/12)......Pittsburgh-based PLB
     Sports, the marketer of "Flutie Flakes," launched "Hull-
     O's," a breakfast cereal named for Stars RW Brett Hull, this
     week in the Dallas-area (Mult., 4/11)....In N.Y., Mitch
     Lawrence reported that David Falk "has an in via" Duke men's
     basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski to represent NBA prospect
     Elton Brand, but Lon Babby "has an in with" Duke alumni
     Grant Hill and Christian Laettner.  Percy "Master P" Miller
     is also "on the prowl" for Brand (N.Y. DAILY NEWS,
     4/11)....Former MLB P Nolan Ryan will appear in a TV spot
     for the "Go Texan" advertising campaign, which will
     encourage consumers to purchase TX-grown agricultural
     products (Raleigh NEWS & OBSERVER, 4/11).
