FACILITY NOTES

In a must for the files, the SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's
Alan Friedman takes an in-depth look at each of the Bucs
Pewter Partner sponsorship agreements at Raymond James
Stadium. Also included are partnerships with league
sponsors Gatorade, Sprint and MBNA America (SBJ, 3/29).
OTHER NOTES: SPEEDNET reports that it "doesn't appear"
that the Donald Trump/ISC race track will be built in
Calverton, N.Y., a site Trump "had considered" as a location
for the race track. The deadline for offers on the 2,900-
acre property passed on Monday and Trump "doesn't appear to
have an official bid" (SPEEDNET, 3/31)....Dallas Mayor Pro
Tem Jim Lane believes the city "might need state or federal
highway help to ease race-day congestion," after he was
among those stuck in the Texas Motor Speedway traffic jam
following Sunday's Primestar 500 (DALLAS MORNING NEWS,
3/31)....The Montgomery (MD) County Council approved
construction of a $19.8M SoccerPlex, the "largest youth
soccer complex" in the DC region, which will be located in
Germantown, MD. More than half of the project "will be
financed by a nonprofit soccer foundation now raising money
from local soccer clubs and corporate sponsors." The
companies "will be allowed to name fields or advertise
inside the planned 3,200-seat stadium" (WASH. POST, 3/31).
