BOSOX TAKE SPRING TRAINING TO NEW HEIGHTS ON BALLPARK TEAM

As the Red Sox prepare to announce plans for a new
ballpark later this spring, the team "has added more heavy
hitters" to its lineup, according to Meg Vaillancourt of the
BOSTON GLOBE. Former Deputy Mayor Micho Spring, and her
firm, BSMG Worldwide, "have been hired to assist the Red Sox
in developing a communications strategy as plans to build a
new Fenway Park move forward." Spring's "resume adds
firepower to the Sox traditionally low-key communications
strategy." The "day-to-day spokeswoman for the project"
will be former Republican activist Kathryn Murray St. John,
who is also a principal in BSMG's Boston office. Spring and
St. John "will be working" under business consultant John
Sasso, who is assisting Red Sox CEO John Harrington on plans
for a new ballpark. For the Red Sox, Colette Phillips will
continue to serve as a community and media relations
consultant, while "longtime" spokesperson Dick Bresciani
will continue to head team PR "and will coordinate" the Red
Sox's efforts for the All-Star Game (BOSTON GLOBE, 3/20).
