MEDIA NOTES

ANALYZE THIS: In N.Y., Richard Sandomir profiles Walt
Frazier, who is in his first year as TV analyst for the
Knicks on MSG. Sandomir writes that Frazier's "persona
often seems devoid of substance, filled with a nightly quota
of scripted verbosity required for inclusion in the night's
game. Any decent insights are clouded by his unnecessary
addiction to word play" (N.Y. TIMES, 3/17).
MORE NOTES: SI For Kids launched its commercial-free
content site "JuniorNet." The site will provide access to
the magazine's content and is geared toward children age 3-
12 (AD AGE, 3/17)....ABC has picked up "Sports Night" for
next season (DAILY VARIETY, 3/17)....In N.Y., Neal Travis
reports that Fox Sports World received a call from Mick
Jagger and the Rolling Stones who were on tour in Pittsburgh
and "desperate" to see a major English soccer match. The
Fox people "told them where to tune in" (N.Y. POST, 3/17).
...In L.A., Shav Glick wrote on ESPN's new NASCAR video
collection, "The Greatest Series," which spotlights the
growth of NASCAR in a three-tape collection on drivers,
races and rivalries. Glick: "If you just can't wait until
next week's race, ESPN has put together three fine videos
that should tide you over" (L.A. TIMES, 3/16)....USA TODAY's
Rudy Martzke reports that Kevin Kennedy is moving from ESPN
to FSN for "close to $200,000 annually" (USA TODAY, 3/17).
