ONLINE NEWS & NOTES: BROADCAST.COM GETTING COMPANY ONLINE

In what analysts view as a challenge to Broadcast.com,
     MA-based CMGI is investing $100M to start a Web-based
broadcasting company delivering video feeds to be run by
former NBC Exec Neil Braun (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 2/18).
ONLINE NOTES: MindSpring, the ISP for Jeff Gordon's Web
site at www.jeffgordon.com, added 16.5 billion bytes of
bandwidth to the site during NASCAR's Speedweeks to keep up
with the increase of traffic. The site's traffic before and
after the Daytona 500 was four times the normal traffic that
occurred during Speedweeks, as the number of hits rose to
67,000 and 53,000, respectively, compared to Speedweeks'
average of about 13,500 an hour (MindSpring)....adidas
launches the second of several Internet features focusing on
Lakers G Kobe Bryant tomorrow. The feature, available at
     www.adidas.com/kobe, asks Bryant some "psychological"
questions and allows users to take the same test and compare
     their answers to Bryant's (adidas).
