CFL LOOKS TO U.S. FOR FARM AID; WWF EXEC JOINS CFL TEAM

          The CFL has been "quietly considering a proposal for
     affiliation from the new Indoor Football League" in the U.S.
     and will "probably vote on the matter during league meetings
     in April," according to Marty York of the Toronto GLOBE &
     MAIL.  The plan would be to "establish an official liaison
     before May."  IFL President Tom Tomaszewski: "There is no
     question that a relationship with the CFL would be
     beneficial for both leagues."  The "entire" IFL is owned by
     WI business exec Keary Ecklund (GLOBE & MAIL, 2/17).
          REIDING AND ARITHMETIC: The CFL's new VP/Marketing Reid
     Bailey was profiled by Allan Maki of the GLOBE & MAIL. 
     Bailey, who comes to the CFL after promoting the WWF, said,
     "Somewhere between where we are and where the WWF is, that's
     where we want to be."  Bailey hopes to see the CFL do some
     cross-promotions with the WWF (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 2/17).
