ADIDAS HEARING IN KANSAS CITY CONCLUDES; RULING IN ONE MONTH

          A hearing in adidas America's suit against the NCAA
     over the size of commercial logos on player uniforms
     "wrapped up Friday in federal court," according to Steve
     Rock of the K.C. STAR.  All that's "left now is written
     closing arguments from both sides and oral closing arguments
     if U.S. District Judge Thomas Van Bebber decides they're
     warranted."  A ruling is expected within a month.  Before
     the hearing concluded Friday, adidas lawyers "presented the
     jersey" of a Univ. of TN football player, "presumably to
     show the commercialism depicted on it in the form of a
     'Tostitos Fiesta Bowl' patch" (K.C. STAR, 2/13).
