FACILITY NOTES

          In Boston, Fee & Raposa wrote that "word is, the Red
     Sox have nothing on paper even remotely ready to go"
     regarding the construction of a new ballpark.  A source said
     that the project "is going nowhere fast" (BOSTON HERALD,
     2/10).  Also in Boston, the FleetCenter stands to earn $3.5M
     in rent should Boston secure the 2000 Democratic National
     Convention.  A decision on the host city is expected "in the
     next few weeks" (BOSTON GLOBE, 2/10)....The MLS Crew
     unveiled the logo for the inaugural game at their new
     22,500-seat soccer-only stadium.  The logo will be used for
     the team's marketing and promotions.  MLS Commissioner Doug
     Logan: "We're taking a venue to play up the ethos of the
     sport ... at the right scale where soccer is in this country
     right now" (COLUMBUS DISPATCH, 2/10)....The $165M Pepsi
     Center "is trying to lure" singer Celine Dion to mark its
     opening on October 1 (DENVER POST, 2/11).
