FLORIDA PANTHERS HOLDING SHOWING SIGNS OF LIFE

          Second-quarter income for Florida Panthers Holdings
     (FPH) "jumped by" 650%, "thanks mostly" to revenue from the
     new National Car Rental Center and two recently acquired
     hotels, according to Katherine Hutt of the FT. LAUDERDALE
     SUN-SENTINEL.  The two new hotels are the Arizona Biltmore
     in Phoenix and the Registry Resort and Edgewater Beach Hotel
     in Naples.  Income for the three months ended December 31
     hit a "record" $9M compared to $1.2M for the same period one
     year earlier.  Second-quarter revenue was $105M, up from
     $76.6M last year (SUN-SENTINEL, 1/29).
