DOES EAS HAVE BRONCOS A MILE HIGH? PLAYERS PUSH PRODUCT

The Broncos feel that Experimental and Applied
Sciences' (EAS) line of nutritional supplements is a "large
part of the team's success," but the NFL has "been on the
Broncos for more than a year" for using and touting the
company's products, according to Thomas Stinson of the
ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. Broncos John Elway, Terrell Davis,
Shannon Sharpe and Bill Romanowski are all "paid endorsers"
of the company. The league "threatened to levy" $10,000
fines and to "double them for future violations" after
players wore EAS hats and turtlenecks in various media
sessions, but the team was "in complete compliance" with the
league's wishes during Tuesday's Media Day (ATLANTA
CONSTITUTION, 1/27). Several Broncos players have
consistently worn EAS logoed hats and turtlenecks on camera
in the two-week buildup to the game (THE DAILY). EAS took
out a full-page ad featuring Davis in USA TODAY (1/28).
