BLAZERS SEEK NEW AD AGENCY AS TEAM PREPARES FOR RE-ENTRY

The Blazers are "parting ways" with Portland-based
Borders, Perrin & Norrander after the ad agency "asked out
of the relationship because of clashes over creative content
of the ads as well as how to produce them," according to
Jeff Manning of the Portland OREGONIAN. The move comes a
few days before Borders was to start filming spots for a new
Blazers ad campaign and marks the second time in six months
that the team has dropped an ad agency due to "creative and
style differences." Blazers Senior VP/Marketing Operations
Harry Hutt said the end of the lockout and the shortened
season have put the team in "a state of organized chaos."
Hutt: "Our world just started washing in on us with this
lockout. At some point, we just had to say hey, let's just
be friends and walk away." The team will move all their
advertising to Post-Up Productions, their in-house
     production company (Portland OREGONIAN, 1/21).
