HE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE FOR A WHILE? BERGER LINKS W/M&M/MARS

          M&M/Mars has established a relationship with Vikings' P
     Mitch Berger, who keeps a Snickers bar in his shoe on the
     sidelines, which has been "clearly visible" to TV viewers,
     according to George Lazarus of the CHICAGO TRIBUNE.  Berger
     will make speeches and public appearances for the brand
     after this season.  During the playoffs, for every one of
     Berger's touchbacks during a kickoff, Snickers will donate
     1,000 bars to one of his charities.  Last Sunday during the
     Cards-Vikings playoff game on Fox, John Madden and Pat
     Summerall gave Snickers "an additional plug" by talking
     about Berger's routine.  An M&M/Mars spokesperson said, "We
     thought it was great" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 1/15).
