NBA TEAM NEWS: IS THOMAS SET TO SELL KINGS SHARE?

          Sources "indicated" that the NBA Kings would hold a
     news conference today announcing that team Owner Jim Thomas
     "would sell his remaining interest in the team" to the
     Maloof family (Martin McNeal, SACRAMENTO BEE, 1/15).
          WHAT A CARD! The Spurs have joined with TX-based AIM
     Technologies, the creator of FanCard, to become the first
     NBA team to offer AIM's interactive customer loyalty program
     to its fans.  FanCard allows the Spurs to reward customers
     for their frequent attendance at games and provides them
     with the means to identify fans and compile data on fan
     interest.  AIM also provides the FanCard program for the
     A's, who signed up over 32,000 fans last year (AIM).
          WAIT FOR THE BEEP: The Magic are communicating with
     their season-ticket holders by using RealCall, a FL-based
     computerized message delivery system that delivers
     prerecorded messages directly to answering machines (Magic).
