FACILITY NOTES

          The East Valley, AZ, economy will get a $1.66B "annual
     boost" and "add more than" 12,000 jobs if Mesa voters pass a
     sales tax to fund a new Cardinals stadium and an adjacent
     convention center. The study also shows that $266M more
     would be added to area if the Rio Salado Crossing facility
     was able to land the Super Bowl (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 1/15).
     ...In Chicago, Spielman & McKinney write that the idea of
     building a new football stadium for the Bears across from
     Comiskey Park "picked up steam" yesterday with State Senate
     President James Philip (R) "talking up the idea and the
     Bears willing to consider it" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 1/15).
