NFL FRANCHISE NOTES: OILERS TO GET TITANIC LOOK TOMORROW

and new uniforms "will not be unveiled until after New

to the Univ. of TN logo. Singleton, on the league, NFLP,
and Oilers Owner Bud Adams trying to keep "every step of his
team's name-change and redesign top secret": "It seems to me
on the outside looking in that Bud Adams and [NFLP] and Logo
Athletic are on such different pages" (TENNESSEAN, 12/19).
FROM THE END ZONE: The Oilers will finish last in the
NFL in average attendance for the third straight year. With
one game left against the Vikings, the Oilers are averaging

potentially choosing Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams
with the first pick in the NFL draft, after Williams said
his "first love" is baseball: "I would not be able in my
mind to justify using a top pick in the first round of the
draft with the foreknowledge that we would be sharing that
talent with another sport" (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 12/20).
