     Marketing.  Gordian has served as Zone Sales Manager
     Designate at Frito-Lay and Product Manager at Bank of
     America (SportsTicker)....Red Sox Dir of Sales ROB CAPILLI
     will leave the team after 13 years to become Dir of
     Marketing for the NHL Rangers (BOSTON GLOBE, 12/14).
     ....JAMIE BARRETT joined N.Y.-based Fallon McElligott as
     Creative Dir.  Barrett was most recently lead Creative Dir
     on the Nike account at Wieden & Kennedy (ST. PAUL PIONEER
     PRESS, 12/13)....DAVID HAWKES, a Management Consultant and
     former Partner at KPMG Peat Marwick, and MARTEL WILSON,
     former CFO of S-K-I Ltd., were elected Directors of American
     Skiing Co. (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 12/14)....Detroit Free-
     Press columnist CHARLIE VINCENT will retire following the
     Fiesta Bowl on January 4.  He has been with the newspaper
     for 29 years (DETROIT FREE-PRESS, 12/12).
