EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The A's named PAUL DEPODESTA Assistant GM.  DePodesta
     comes from the Indians' baseball operations department,
     where he will remain until January 1 "or until the Indians
     hire his replacement" (OAKLAND TRIBUNE, 11/18)....The MLS
     Burn announced the following restructuring moves:
     VP/Operations & Administration PAUL MOTT has been promoted
     to Senior VP; Dir of Sales JOHN ALPER was promoted to
     VP/Sales; Dir of Hispanic Marketing & Community Development
     ANDY SWIFT was promoted to VP/Marketing & Broadcasting;
     Customer Service Manager DEREK CONWAY was promoted to Dir of
     Ticket Services & Merchandise (Burn).
