LEAGUE NOTES

In Milwaukee, Bob Wolfley reports that speculation has
the Firstar Center in downtown Milwaukee as the office for
MLB Commissioner Bud Selig. The space "is being prepared
and remodeled for that purpose," and Selig and "a handful of
staffers are expected to move into their new home" sometime
around January 1 (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 11/19).
NEW LEAGUE: Mobile City Council member Reggie Copeland,
who introduced the Admirals, the city's new Regional
Football League franchise, said that the league is "working
with Turner Sports with the hopes of putting together a
television package as well as holding discussions with
     Russell Athletics" (MOBILE REGISTER, 11/18).
