Sonics from '91-98, will have a weekly one-hour radio show
on Seattle's KIRO-AM. The show will debut Monday at 7:00pm
PST. KIRO Program Dir Kris Olinger: "It's not just a show
about the NBA. It's a show about all sports. George has a
lot of things that he wants to talk about" (NEWS-TRIBUNE,
11/13)...."Hockey Night In Canada" host Ron MacLean has
signed a new four-year deal with the CBC (Toronto GLOBE &
MAIL, 11/13)....Cheryl and Reggie Miller will serve as co-
analysts on Lifetime's women's college basketball coverage
tonight (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 11/13)....Mike Flanagan will
return to the HTS' Orioles broadcast booth next season to
reclaim the analyst job he vacated last year for a second
term as the team's pitching coach (Baltimore SUN, 11/13).
...In Boston, Howard Manly gives credit to WBZ-CBS sports
anchor Bob Lobel on breaking the Mo Vaughn story. Manly:

NOTES: ESPN will increase its coverage of USGA
championships in its extended deal with the USGA. ESPN will
air more than 50 hours of USGA events, including expanded
coverage of the U.S. Amateur and Women's Amateur Opens. In
addition, ESPN Classic can now use USGA highlights and ESPN
Zone can display USGA footage (ESPN)....In Toronto, Rob
Longley writes that one "industry insider" said that FSN "is
so embarrassed" by its "Ultimate Fan League" game show that
