LAP OF LUXURY: WHICH STADIUMS HAVE THE SWEETEST SUITES

In an effort to generate additional revenue, NFL teams
are trying "to outdo each other with increasingly flashy
luxury boxes" which can "represent half of a team's profit,"
according to Sam Walker of the WALL STREET JOURNAL, who
ranks some of the top luxury facilities in the NFL. Among
the luxury perks: At Oakland/Alameda County Coliseum,
electric windows "glide open at the push of a button," and
retired players knock on the suite doors at halftime. At
the GA Dome, the Falcons "throw in free theater tickets and
cooking classes for boxholders," while Giants Stadium
"thanked" its suite holders last year with miniature crystal
footballs from Tiffany & Co. The JOURNAL's Suite Study
ranks winners and losers, with team revenue from luxury
suites in parentheses. WINNERS: Redskins ($15M), Bucs ($13-
     15M), Cowboys ($13M), Giants/Jets ($12M), Ravens ($12M).
     LOSERS: Broncos ($4M), 49ers ($4M), Chiefs ($3.5M), Bills
     ($3M), Lions ($0) (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 10/30).
