OLYMPIC NOTES

          President Clinton awarded $90M to UT "primarily for
     highway improvements tied to moving traffic" during the 2002
     Winter Olympics.  The money "is the first of what state and
     Olympics officials expect will be continued appropriations
     to help host the Games" (AP/DETROIT NEWS, 10/29)....In Salt
     Lake City, Mike Gorrell wrote that SLOC officials have
     signed an agreement with Intermountain Health Care, making
     it the official medical provider for the 2002 Olympics and
     Paralympics.  The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but
     it is "estimated" that the value of the medical services is
     between $10-15M (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 10/29).
