IL-based TearDrop has signed Young & Rubicam, Chicago,
to handle the creative for its Tommy Armour 845 irons,
according to George Lazarus of the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. Y&R
succeeds Leap Partnership, which had been the agency of
record for Armour the last three years. TearDrop VP/Sales &
Marketing Matt O'Toole said Y&R's first creative will
feature two or three 30-second TV spots to air during the
Bob Hope Classic in January. Y&R, Chicago, "hasn't had any
experience in golf, but the agency" worked with adidas
america in the past. IL-based Space Time will continue to
handle TearDrop's media buying (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 10/27).
