ASHLEY JUDD BRINGS THE HEAT! UK ALUM POSES FOR HOCKEY POSTER

Actress Ashley Judd has posed for a Univ. of KY Club
Hockey poster "in nothing more than a hockey jersey and blue
toenail polish," according to Heather Svokos of the
LEXINGTON HERALD-LEADER. The team sent the UK alum a
personalized hockey jersey while she was filming a movie in
Vancouver, and Judd "sent back one picture -- the one that
appears in the poster." Upon Judd's request, the team "will
not be selling the poster, but giving them away one per
person at games." UK Hockey Club GM Ian Ward said that the
team didn't "give Judd any suggestions on how to pose," and
UK spokesperson John Scharfenbarger said that the university
"hadn't received any comments or complaints" about the
poster. Ward said the hockey team is "a club sport (not a
part of UK's Athletics Association) funded by the gate and
(concessions) and dues, and it gets minimal funding to the
tune of $800 from the university" (HERALD-LEADER, 10/21).
