FACILITY NOTES

          S.F. Mayor Willie Brown formally announced that John
     Wasson will lead the 49ers stadium-mall project at
     Candlestick Point.  Wasson supervised the construction of
     Bank One Ballpark and Gund Arena (S.F. CHRONICLE, 10/22).
     ...A DC branch of Save Fenway Park will "formally organize
     early next month" after the newly incorporated Save Fenway
     Park "files formally for non-profit status, expected within
     the next few weeks" (BOSTON HERALD, 10/19)....Dover Downs
     Entertainment Inc. plans to build a $124M, 50,000-seat
     superspeedway entirely within Wilson County, TN, borders.  A
     meeting on Friday with the Wilson County Planning Commission
     "is only the beginning of the quest for governmental
     approval" (Debbie McClanahan, TENNESSEAN, 10/20).
