     A PSA on sexual abuse featuring McGwire aired during the
     show, and DAVID LETTERMAN and McGwire went to NYC's 53rd
     Street so Letterman could pitch batting practice and see if
     McGwire could "jerk some into the Hudson" ("Late Show," CBS,
     10/19)....STANLEY GOLUB, one of the Mariners' original
     owners, died of pneumonia Wednesday.  He was 85 (SEATTLE
     TIMES, 10/29)....USA TODAY profiles Padres Owner JOHN
     MOORES, who flew all 140 team employees to N.Y. for Games
     One and Two of the World Series, and paid for the players'
     family charter (USA TODAY, 10/20)....MICHELLE KWAN was
     honored as the WOMEN'S SPORTS FOUNDATION's individual
     Sportswoman of the Year at an awards dinner in N.Y. last
     night (USA TODAY, 10/20).  The WSF is profiled by Lena
     Williams in the N.Y. TIMES under the header "After 24 Years,
     a Foundation Finds a Lot to Celebrate" (N.Y. TIMES, 10/20).
