GOLDEN BEAR GOLF LOOKS TO WAKE UP AFTER HIBERNATION

          Golden Bear Golf Inc. CEO Richard Bellinger "has
     resigned to pursue other interests," according to Ann Carrns
     of the WALL STREET JOURNAL.  As a result, CFO Stephen
     Winslett has been named COO.  The company also said it "has
     formally restated its losses" for '97, and for the first
     quarter of '98.  In its amended annual report to the SEC,
     Golden Bear showed a restated loss of $24.7M, or $4.49 a
     share for '97.  The company had initially reported a loss of
     $2.9M, or $.53 a share (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 10/20).
