GREETINGS FROM ASBURY PARK: LITTLE LEAGUE SAYS NO TO MILK AD

The World Champion Toms River (NJ) East Little League
team has turned down an offer to be part of the National
Milk Council's "Got Milk?" ad campaign, according to Joe
Adelizzi of the ASBURY PARK PRESS. The PA-based Little
League corporate office told the team "it could not consider
the ad campaign" since the Milk Council is not an official
Little League sponsor. The team has also turned down other
sponsorship offers. The Toms River Little League would have
received $50,000 for the ad (ASBURY PARK PRESS, 10/10).
