          MLB: Publisher Larry Flynt, on his interest in buying
     the Reds: "I've made an overture that I'm interested.  If I
     can enter into something that's satisfactory to Marge
     (Schott), we'll move forward" (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 9/27).
     ...The Blues-Predators preseason at Kemper Arena in K.C.
     drew 9,346 on Saturday  (K.C. STAR, 9/27)....In MN, Charley
     Walters wrote that a "major reason" for the Vikings' ticket
     price-increase for the '99 season is a "mandate from
     ownership that the team increase corporate sponsorship
     revenue" from $14 to $21M (PIONEER PRESS, 9/27)....In
     Cleveland, Tony Grossi wrote that Isles co-Owner Howard
     Milstein said he "has been contacted about purchasing" the
     Redskins.  Milstein: "I'm just not ready to seriously
     consider doing anything else yet" (PLAIN DEALER, 9/27).
