FRANCHISE NOTES

The MLB Cardinals surpassed the three million
attendance mark Wednesday for the first time since '89. The
team has three home games left (POST-DISPATCH, 9/25).
....The National Lacrosse League's Rochester Knighthawks
have sold 3,500 season tickets for their upcoming seven-game
home schedule (Rochester DEMOCRAT & CHRONICLE, 9/24)....In
Jacksonville, Sports Development Authority Exec Dir Mike
Sullivan said only about 1,000 tickets for the Panthers-
Lightning exhibition game had been sold "because the public
is misinformed about ticket prices." Though ticket prices
for the first three rows are $60 and $50, most seats cost
either $30 or $15. Sullivan: "The misunderstanding is that
there are high ticket prices" (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 9/24).
