EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          NFLP announced the resignation of Senior VP/Consumer
     Products JIM CONNELLY.  A search is being conducted to find
     his replacement (NFLP)....USA Network promoted VP & Exec
     Producer GORDON BECK to Senior VP/Production & Sports.  Beck
     will continue to oversee USA Sports (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER,
     8/18)....ABC Inc. promoted ANNE SWEENEY to President of
     Disney/ABC cable networks.  Sweeney will be responsible for
     ABC's interests in Lifetime, A&E, the History Channel and E!
     (Mult., 8/18)....CHRIS MULCAHY joined Streetball Partners
     Int'l as Event Dir. Mulcahy comes from Washington Sports &
     Entertainment, where he served as Assistant Dir of
     Sponsorship Operations (THE DAILY)....JIM NUGENT, Associate
     Publisher of GOLFWEEK, has been promoted to VP & Publisher,
     effective September 1 (GOLFWEEK, 8/15 issue).
