FACILITY NOTES

          Denver City Council members will begin voting on
     whether to free the Broncos from their Mile High lease while
     each member receives two free tickets to each Broncos home
     game from the team.  While Councilmember Debbie Ortega has
     returned her tickets, "at least" five members said they plan
     to keep them and donate them to children and youth groups
     (ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS, 8/15)....In AZ, Javier Morales wrote
     on the delay in the NFL Cardinals' pursuit of a new stadium
     under the header, "Stadium's Failure Could Push NFL Out Of
     Arizona."  Morales: "It is difficult not to feel sorry for
     the Cardinals" (AZ DAILY STAR, 8/16)....In Hartford, Don
     Amore wrote that "high-level" NFL Giants execs continue "to
     laugh -- or at least chuckle -- when it comes to talk of a
     possible Patriots move to Hartford."  One said, "We'll be
     playing in Yankee Stadium again before anyone is playing in
     Hartford" (HARTFORD COURANT, 8/16).
