SE THANKS: DID PAK'S HEAT HELP LPGA NAB GOLF CHANNEL RE-UP?

          The Golf Channel (TGC) and the LPGA have extended their
     TV deal through 2004.  Over the next five years, TGC will
     air a minimum of 10 LPGA events per year, and will provide
     coverage and promotional support, through PSAs, for several
     LPGA programs, including the LPGA Urban Youth Golf Program
     and the LPGA Girls Golf Club (TGC).  In Baltimore, Milton
     Kent writes that Se Ri Pak's "burgeoning popularity ... is
     almost certainly the catalyst" behind the deal (SUN, 7/24).
